CLIB²⁰²¹ promotes cooperation between industry and academia and organizes the technology transfer from academia to SMEs and industry, in a targeted approach.

Companies are partners for the economic implementation of research projects. In this role, they also have an important part in finding out about future market requirements. This is the starting point for CLIB²⁰²¹ networking along entire value chains: Linking members both along the R&D-oriented value chain (research-development-commercial utilization) and along the production-oriented value chain (raw material-intermediate-component-consumer product). Through this linkage, Cluster members are early to initiate market-oriented research projects. This means quicker time to the market, with competitive advantages for all participants.

Participants are internationally recognized chemical companies, successful businesses in biotechnology and chemistry, apparatus construction, patent utilization, customer industries and distributors.
