BIO-raffiniert V: 24./25. March 2009, Oberhausen, Germany

13.02.2009

Congress BIO-raffiniert V – Integrated Bio-Refinery Technologie on March 24 – 25, 2009 in Oberhausen, Germany.

Biomass is considered to be the resource of the future. Growing market shares, captured by energy and products generated from renewable resources as well as intensified measures for the support of industrial biomass utilization both nationally and internationally impressively testify the future role of biomass.

With the conference concept "BIO-raffiniert" Fraunhofer UMSICHT, the nova-Institut and EnergieAgentur.NRW bundle their expertise in the fields of renewable resources, resources management, biomaterials and process technology.

The organizers

Fraunhofer UMSICHT develops custom-made process engineering technologies for environmental and material technology, process engineering and energy technology. The institute offers long-term expertise in the utilization of biomass as a source of energy and materials in the field of renewable resources. Plastics and biogas plant engineering as well as biofuel processes compose R&D focuses. Studies on resource utilization,
recycling management and renewable energies complete the spectrum.

The nova-Institut has been working worldwide in the field of renewable resources in market research, consulting and project management for 15 years. The institute, with its departments "Economy & resource Management", "Biomaterials" and "IT, print, congress & event management", is dedicated to the development of solutions to the coming age of energy and resources scarcity.

The EnergyAgency.NRW acts as a strategic platform with wide-ranging competence in the energy domain: from the continuous promotion of the research up to the technical development, demonstration and introduction on the market, from the energy counselling up to the vocational further training. Central topics of interest concerning renewable energy is the efficient utilisation of biomass as well as fuels and drives of the future. Projects and initiatives are initiated by dedicated networks. The topic "Biorefinery" North Rhine-Westphalia is of strategic importance and has become part of the energy and climatic protection strategy of the State North Rhine-Westphalia.
