Wilhelm-Exner-Medal for Professor Wandrey

On November 8^th 2009, Prof. Chrisitian Wandrey, formerly director of the Institute of Biotechnology at the FZ Juelich, grant the Wilhem-Exner-Medal. The Austrian chamber of commerce together with the Federal President, Dr. Heinz Fischer, honour with this price excellent scientists, who turned their theories, expertise and results into commercial and industrial use. On international level Chrisitian Wandrey considerably influenced the science of bio-organic chemistry, enzymatic bio-transformation, cell culture and fermentation techniques as well as special purification techniques of biotechnologically synthesized substances. He belongs to the most acknowledged people in the area of process engineering.

 

CLIB²⁰²¹- Cluster industrielle Biotechnologie e.V. - joyfully compliments Professor Wandrey on getting this outstanding award. Mr. Wandrey is a CLIB²⁰²¹ member of its first hours and as a member of the board an important and active mentor of the cluster.
